The limestone feature, which was in Dwejra Bay close to the Inland Sea and Fungus Rock, was one of the island's major tourist attractions until it collapsed in stormy weather on 8 March 2017.

Dwejra is a small location on the West coast of the island of Gozo, known for its "inland sea" (small bay surrounded by high cliffs) and as the site where the Azure Window (naturally formed rock arch on the coast) once stood proudly.

Through this large opening in the rocks, sea passes through and one can see the sharp cliffs lying behind this opening.
